What does the "Verified" badge mean?
"Verified" means the advertiser's identity was checked with an identity document. It is a sign of trust, but it never makes an advance payment safe.
How it works
The advertiser sends an identity document through an external verification form. If the check is accepted, the badge appears on the listing.
For visitors and members
- A "Verified" listing belongs to a person whose identity was checked.
- The badge is separate from "Selfie verified" (see What does the "Selfie verified" badge mean?).
- Never send a deposit or an advance payment, even to a verified listing (see Should I send a deposit or an advance payment?).
For advertisers: how to get the badge
- In your Dash, open the panel of your listing and go to "Verification", then "KYC Verification".
- Click "Verify Now". The form opens in a new tab.
- Follow the steps and send your document (passport, ID card or driver's license).
- Your status shows "Under Review", then "Verified" or "Rejected".
- You receive an e-mail and a notification on the site when it is accepted, and an e-mail if it is declined.
- If it is declined, click "Try Again".
Only advertisers can use this check.
